The new Star Adventurer GTi is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a compact, portable mount for visual observations or astrophotography.
Key features include a built-in, illuminated polar scope for precise polar alignment, a USB interface, an autoguider port, an optional SynScan handheld controller, and SNAP shutter control for your DSLR camera (programmable via Sky's free SynScan Pro app). This mount also has a counterweight rod that can be attached in two places, standardly along the axis of the mount and at an angle for use in low latitudes.
