Askar 120 APO is a professional astrograph which, thanks to its optical characteristics, is perfect for experienced astrophotographers as well as visual observation enthusiasts.
This telescope was constructed as a classic apochromatic triplet with an air gap. To ensure the best possible correction of chromatic aberrations, Askar designers chose a solution known from the most expensive flagship apochromats, namely the use of a reduced dispersion (ED) glass lens. In order to eliminate the risk of reflections, the interior of the tube is equipped with an extensive bubble system and additionally painted with matte paint.
However, the possibilities of this telescope are not limited only to astrophotography. This instrument enables visual observations after connecting an angle attachment or glasses with a diameter of 1.25" and 2".
In addition to impeccable optical parameters, Askar 120 APO is characterized by high quality and precision of mechanical elements. A solid extractor allows the installation of even the heaviest astronomical cameras, and the mounting rings and Vixen foot made using CNC technology guarantee full stability of the tube. • high-class astrograph with low-dispersion APO class optics • double accessory foot • ultra-light mounting clamps with Vixen foot • can also be used in visual observations • optical design: apochromatic refractor • lens system: ED triplet with air break • number of low-dispersion lenses: one • Front lens diameter (aperture): 120 mm • focal length: 840 mm • aperture: f/7 • compatible glasses/angle attachments: 1.25", 2" • extractor diameter: 3.3" • type of lift: rack & pinion, gear ratio 10:1 • rotator: yes, 360° • mounting bracket: Vixen foot • length of the tube with the deflector extended: 722 mm • tube weight without accessories: 5.7 kg • weight of the tube with accessories: 6.5 kg • Askar 120 APO optical tube • mounting clamps • Vixen foot 290 mm • transport cover • documentation 24 months
