The Astronomik OIII 6nm CCD filter is a high-quality narrowband filter designed for photographing objects emitting light in the oxygen lines (496 and 501 nm), including planetary nebulae, star-forming regions, and supernova remnants. With high signal transmission and effective suppression of sky background light (including sodium and mercury lamps, airglow, and moonglow), it works great under both dark and urban skies. The 6nm version with MFR (Multi-Frequency Resistant) coating allows for very effective blocking of unwanted light in the range from UV to IR, which significantly increases the contrast of recorded structures. Ideal for work with cameras with low dark current and in strong lighting conditions. The filter reduces the number of visible stars, which facilitates detection of faint nebula objects against the starry background. • type: OIII CCD filter, narrowband • diameter: 27 mm • assembly: without frame (unmounted) • bandwidth: 6 nm • central wavelengths: 496 nm and 501 nm • typical transmission: 92% (for 501 nm) • guaranteed transmission: >88% • glass thickness: 1 mm • optical compatibility: for systems with a focal ratio of f/4 to f/∞ • Cover: MFR (Multi-Frequency Resistant) • other features: scratch and moisture resistant coating, parfocal filter • SKU: 10215627 / 8h00ml
