The 12x magnification allows you to use your binoculars freely with your hand, while ensuring very good visibility of details. In the case of bird watching, large magnifications are used especially during flights, as well as for the observation of birds of prey, which are very difficult to approach.
The Nikon 12x50 EX is also a good proposition for astronomical observations in urban and suburban areas, offering a 4mm relative exit due to the proper conditions when we do not have full darkness or a dark, rural sky at our disposal. It works well in observations of Moon details, star clusters and compact asterisms (eg "Wieszak").
