The EDG 10x42 is one of the flagship models of Nikon binoculars, which thanks to the use of the latest optical technologies and the best available materials offers a flawlessly clear image full of details.
The Nikon EDG 10x42 model is equipped with an optical system with a 10x magnification and an apparent field of view of 59.2 °. These binoculars use roof prisms with phase correction, on which a dielectric coating of increased reflectivity has been applied. The distinguishing feature of the EDG 10x42 binoculars is an innovative approach to the selection of the lens material, which in this model is made of ecological glass, free from lead and arsenic admixtures. The set of lenses is also complemented by elements made of low-dispersion glass, which guarantees a faithful reproduction of colors. This instrument also has a built-in field curvature corrector, thanks to which the image obtained is equally sharp and full of detail both in the center and on the edge of the field of view.
The body of the binoculars is made of magnesium alloys, thanks to which it is characterized by increased resistance to mechanical damage while maintaining a low weight.
