Optolong SHO 3 nm 2 "is a set of three two-inch astronomical filters intended for use in astrophotography with the use of monochrome cameras or specially modified SLRs.

Narrowband filters from the HSO palette make it possible to take spectacular photographs of emission nebulae or remnants of supernova explosions. Obtaining the effects that resemble the images recorded by the Hubble space telescope is possible primarily due to the use of advanced filter production technology, which allows to obtain very narrow passbands while maintaining high optical efficiency. Optolong SHO 3 nm 2 "filters combine a very good transmittance for the Hα, S II and O III lines with the ability to almost completely eliminate light pollution coming mainly from sodium and mercury lamps, thus They are perfect for photographing the sky near large urban centers.

All filters included in the kit are covered with a full multi-layer anti-glare coating applied using ion implantation techniques. Thanks to this, the coatings are not only perfect in terms of optics, but also very durable and scratch-resistant.
