Variable polarizing filter with adjustable transmission in the range from 5 to 25%. It is made of two polarizing filters whose mutual position - and thus the resulting light transmission - can be adjusted quickly without having to remove the eyepiece from the hood.
The filter is used especially for observing the moon, but will also be used for Jupiter and Venus, as well as an additional darkening filter for observing the Sun (with the mandatory sun filter for the lens).
