The Yukon Ranger RT 6.5x42 digital night vision device is a modernized version of the long-known Ranger 5x42, using a much newer and more sensitive new generation CMOS detector with a resolution of 640x480 pixels instead of the traditional photocathode or popular CCD.
Moreover, this model of the night vision device is equipped with a 940 nm long range infrared LED illuminator which is invisible to the eye, so the observer is undetectable from the outside, and the operation of the night vision device does not scare the game. It has a power of up to 115 mW, a wide range of brightness adjustment and a narrow angle of radiation, thanks to which a lot of reflected energy reaches the detector and the image is readable even at a distance of several hundred meters.
Yukon Ranger RT 6.5x42 is equipped with a built-in video and photo recorder and an internal memory of up to 8 GB. What's more, the device has Wi-Fi connectivity. The night vision device also has a ¼ ”tripod mount. With quite unusual functionalities, it is worth mentioning the communication via the built-in WiFi network. The Imager can communicate with external mobile devices, e.g. smartphones or tablets with iOS / Android, on which you can view the image, control the functions of the night vision device and even carry out a live transmission using YouTube.
The Yukon Ranger RT 6.5x42 provides a clear and sharp image, devoid of the tunneling effect known from conventional 1st generation night vision devices. A new generation CMOS sensor works inside, coupled with an electronic high-sensitivity image sensor. After processing, the image is displayed on the high-resolution LCD panel visible in the device's eyepiece. This makes the Yukon Ranger RT 6.5x42 an innovative solution in the world of night vision. The CMOS sensor is insensitive to strong light thanks to the automatic exposure value. This digital night vision device can also be used during the day, without fear of damaging the light-sensitive elements. The double illumination system and the largest among digital night vision devices, up to 6.5x magnification, guarantee a range of several hundred meters, ensuring high contrast and detail of the image.
With the RT 6.5x42, good results are achieved when observing game animals at the edge of the forest, fencing of areas, objects hidden on unlit roads, tracks, roadsides or in recesses of buildings and construction sites. It is good at observing targets in bushes and trees, and on the surface of water bodies. The device is insensitive to focused light sources, therefore it is perfect for observation in urban areas with strong and variable illumination, without fear of damaging the light-sensitive element.
The device is powered by six 1.5 V AA batteries, Ni-MH rechargeable batteries or the included car and stationary chargers. The device can be connected to an external power supply through the microUSB 5V port, eg a powerbank or a car charger for phones with an appropriate connector.
