Tele Vue Sol Searcher (SKU: SSF-1006) is a precision projection finder designed to quickly and safely point the telescope at the Sun's disc. The design completely devoid of light-focusing elements guarantees complete safety of use - both for the observer and the instrument's optics.

The Sol Searcher works on the principle of the camera obscura effect: light passes through a narrow opening in the front of the device and creates a small, clear image of the Sun on the projection screen. When the disc is centered on the screen, the telescope is correctly pointed at the Sun. Thanks to the universal mounting system, the finder can be installed on Tele Vue telescopes and most other optical tubes.
