The Tele Vue UHC 1.25" filter is a high quality narrowband filter designed for observing emission nebulae and H II regions. By selectively transmitting light in a narrow range of wavelengths, this filter increases the contrast between the object and the sky background, effectively reducing the effects of artificial lighting and moon glow.

The UHC filter's transmission range covers primarily the H-beta emission lines (486 nm) and the OIII band (496 and 501 nm), making it an ideal tool for observing objects such as the Veil Nebula, the Orion Nebula, the North America Nebula, and the Lagoon Nebula. The filter can be used in any type of telescope, both in dark and urban skies.
