The name Hummingbird means hummingbird in English. The new Celestron spotting scopes have all the features that these small birds have: very small, almost microscopic dimensions, great mobility (movement) and the ability to cover significant distances in relation to their size. The Celestron Hummingbird telescope can be taken without any problems and at any time, both outside the house and even on the longest expedition.
Microscopic observation telescopes use ED glass lenses, thanks to which they had a chance to be created - low dispersion glass allows to achieve high image quality without chromatic aberration (troublesome, colored fringes around contrasting objects) even with an exceptionally short focal length. Such a small focal length, in turn, allows the Hummingbird telescope to be so microscopic that it fits in the palm of the hand and in a coat pocket.
Equipped with a 1.25 inch variable focal length (zoom) eyepiece and adjustable eyecup, it allows you to conveniently adjust the magnification to the currently viewed object. The minimum magnification is only 7-9x, so there is nothing to prevent you from observing without a tripod and during evening trips, because the image is then exceptionally bright and clear. This is due to the FMC multilayer coatings. On the other hand, if you need higher magnifications, thanks to the unmatched lightness and mobility, a small monopod with a 1/4 inch mount will be enough for this telescope. The aforementioned coatings and ED optics will then provide a perfectly contrasting, clear and colorful image.
The standard 1.25-inch eyepiece mount included in the kit allows for easy replacement with other eyepieces of this type, which opens up unlimited possibilities for Huminigbird users to select additional top-quality astronomical eyepieces. • magnification: 9-27x • Magnification diameter: 56 mm • lens: ED glass doublet • Exit pupil: 6.2 - 2 mm • exit pupil distance: 15 mm • minimum observation distance: 3 m • field of view: 4.2° - 1.85° • waterproof: yes, nitrogen filled, rainproof • layers: FMC • 590g • case included 3 years
