This connector, unlike standard eyepiece connectors, is equipped with a male thread M28.5x0.6 (1.25"). This allows direct installation of accessories equipped with a female filter thread, such as observation glasses or adapters with ¶ 1.25" diameter. Thanks to this, we obtain a 25 mm larger focusing range. The lower connector of the part also has a female M28.5 x 0.6 filter thread that allows you to attach observation filters or additional connectors to obtain an even greater focusing range.

One use case for this eyepiece connector is when the focal point is just outside the range of the system. In such a case, a 25 mm eyepiece connector with a double-sided thread can be used simultaneously with a 0.5x focal reducer. Thanks to this arrangement, the focal point will be moved.
