The Sky-Watcher HEQ-5 Pro SynScan paralactic assembly was designed for users who need high stability, as they offer a larger EQ6 equivalent, with smaller sizes and a smaller weight (by 7.3 kg). The assembly was equipped with a polar field scope, solid locking clamps in the axis of rectification and declination, a drive built in the factory with a pull-out counterbalance bar. Tripod based on 1.75 inch legs offers maximum stability of the whole set. The maximum lifting capacity is estimated at 16 kg, with a dead weight of 19.2 kg. Mountings are available in two versions SynTrek and SynScan. Mounting the optical tube for mounting is possible with the standard "dovetail" mounting rail. Such a rail is included in the set.
SynTrek was designed as an easy-to-use object tracking and guidance control system. The small and universal SynTrek remote control ensures automatic tracking of objects as soon as the power is turned on. The user-friendly interface ensures quick and easy access to many functions offered by the system. GoTo Pilot SynTrek provides three tracking speeds: star, moon and solar. The Guide, Slow and Fast keys are used to select the speed of mounting movement in the axes of right ascension and declination.
SynTrek versions can be easily changed to the full SynScan version, with the option of mounting only the new SynScan remote control for HEQ-5
