Parallactic wedge for the assembly of the Meade LX-200

A heavy equatorial wedge designed to be a strong and stiff platform for the Meade 10 ", 12" and 14 "LX200 series telescopes. This wedge is also compatible with the 10" and 12 "LX90 series telexops and the 8" LX200 series. Mounted between the mount and the telescope's tripod head, it turns the azimuth mount into an equatorial mount, eliminating the problem of field rotation. This mode is indispensable when taking pictures with long astrophotographic exposures.

The wedge is dedicated to work in the latitude range from 25 to 65 °. Equipped with a large knob for convenient azimuth setting. The built-in compass allows you to quickly orientate yourself in the directions. In the front part of the wedge there is an additional stiffening plate with holes for the glasses.
