Before purchasing, measure the phone's width and the eyepiece's outside diameter where the clamp will attach. The stated diameter range refers to the eyepiece housing, not the diameter of the barrel inserted into the telescope. Compatibility also requires clearance for the holder and the ability to align the selected camera lens with the eyepiece axis; dimensions alone do not guarantee compatibility with every setup.
The Redleaf SOM-3 makes it easier to document observations using your existing smartphone. Adjustable clamps and protective linings help hold the phone at the eyepiece while taking photographs and recording videos.
