The Vortex Defender-ST Enclosed Solar Micro Red Dot TAN (DFST-MRD3-E-T) is a compact enclosed-emitter sight with a red Multi-Reticle aiming pattern and combined battery and solar power. Its 7075 aluminium housing shields the optical system from dirt and moisture. This model features 1× magnification, a Leupold DeltaPoint Pro footprint and a TAN finish.
The Multi-Reticle system offers three settings: a 3 MOA dot, a 32 MOA circle, or a dot with a circle. Brightness is adjustable across 12 levels, including two intended for use with night vision. Solar Auto D-TEC automatically selects power from the solar panel or battery according to lighting conditions. Stated runtime is 35,000 hours without solar power and up to 150,000 hours with solar support; these figures apply to the 3 MOA dot alone at brightness setting 6, operating continuously with Auto-Shutoff disabled.
