Antlia M48 Adapter with Quad Band Anti-Light Pollution Filter for Sony E cameras (Antlia) connects a Sony E-mount camera to an M48 × 0.75 interface, allowing it to be attached to a suitably terminated astrophotography imaging train. The Quad Band filter installed in the adapter suppresses selected artificial-lighting bands while transmitting useful visible, near-ultraviolet and near-infrared ranges. The construction provides a distance of 55 mm from the camera sensor to the M48 interface plane.
• combination of a Sony E camera adapter and light-pollution filter in one component
• M48 × 0.75 interface designed for use with suitably terminated astrophotography imaging-train components
• 55 mm distance from the camera sensor to the M48 interface plane
• multi-band transmission characteristics covering visible light, near-ultraviolet and near-infrared
• high transmission of the important Hα, SII, OIII, H-beta and NII emission lines
• suppression of selected artificial-lighting components, including part of the radiation from sodium lamps and LED sources
• suitable for imaging galaxies, emission and reflection nebulae, and star clusters
• broad transmission bands designed for use with optical systems as fast as f/2
• filter characteristics suitable for use with colour and monochrome sensors
• near-infrared transmission best utilised by cameras without a UV/IR-cut filter
