Sky Rover S&T M42 × 0.75 / 1.25" adapter for Banner Cloud spotting scopes (Sky Rover). The adapter replaces the original eyepiece of a Sky Rover Banner Cloud spotting scope and accepts a 1.25" astronomical eyepiece. Magnification depends on the eyepiece focal length and can exceed 100× in a suitable configuration. The self-centring clamp secures the eyepiece, while TIGHTEN and RELEASE markings indicate the direction of ring operation. The optional Sky Rover 2× extender fits between the adapter and eyepiece. Its M42 × 0.75 thread also allows a camera to be attached through an appropriate camera mount. The manufacturer shows a binoviewer configuration as an example only: focus depends on the accessories and available optical path. Longer-focal-length eyepieces are recommended with the 2× extender to avoid excessive magnification. None of these configurations guarantees compatibility with every eyepiece or the ability to reach focus. After unscrewing the original eyepiece, fit the adapter, insert the new eyepiece and lock the clamp. Photography additionally requires the 2× extender and an adapter suitable for the camera. A spotting scope may give different astronomical results from a dedicated telescope.
