The Astronomik L-1 UV-IR Block Clip-Filter EOS R APS-C (Astronomik, SKU: 10220209 / 8h11vb) is a luminance filter designed for Canon EOS R APS-C mirrorless cameras. The L-1 model belongs to the UV-IR Block filter series developed for capturing the luminance channel while cutting off ultraviolet and infrared radiation. The L-1 version has the widest spectral window in this series and was designed for optical systems free from chromatic aberration, such as reflecting telescopes, where additional lenses are used only to correct image errors and not to change the focal ratio. This choice of transmission characteristic allows high transmission and a large amount of signal to be recorded in the luminance channel.
