The Sky Rover Optics 60 mm F/5 Super Astrograph is a compact telescope designed specifically for wide-field astrophotography. The Petzval optical design provides a native flat field without the need for an additional field flattener or focal reducer, simplifying the imaging setup and improving overall system stability. With an image circle of up to 45 mm, the telescope can work with full-frame cameras while maintaining high image quality across the entire field.
The optical system consists of four elements in four groups and uses special optical glass, including Super ED elements and lanthanum-based materials. This effectively reduces chromatic aberration and ensures high contrast and good star correction across the entire image field. FMC (Fully Multi-Coated) optics increase light transmission and reduce internal reflections, which is particularly important for deep-sky imaging.
The 60 SA is equipped with a precise 2.8" Rack & Pinion focuser with micro-focusing and a CAA (Camera Angle Adjuster) rotator, allowing convenient framing during imaging. The aluminum tube features a retractable dew shield, while the included tube rings with carrying handle and Vixen dovetail plate allow easy installation on astronomical mounts. The compact size and weight below 3 kg make this telescope well suited for portable astrophotography setups.
