Daystar Filters Quantum Hydrogen Alpha 0.3–0.5 Å SE Grade Filter (SKU: QSE-C) is a high-performance H-alpha line filter designed for advanced solar observation and imaging. Part of the renowned Quantum series, it combines precision optical performance with temperature-stabilized tuning for accurate wavelength control. The filter allows detailed observation of chromospheric structures such as filaments, plages, and surface texture, as well as larger prominences. Its narrow 0.3–0.5 Å bandpass provides excellent contrast of solar features, while the integrated temperature control system ensures stable operation exactly at the required wavelength.
• high-performance H-alpha line filter for solar observing and imaging
• 0.3–0.5 Å bandpass for enhanced chromospheric contrast
• central wavelength 6562.8 Å (H-alpha line)
• wavelength tuning range ±1.0 Å in 0.1 Å increments
• closed-loop temperature control for precise wavelength stability
• LCD display showing current wavelength with 0.1 Å resolution
• red / blue wing shift controls for precise wavelength adjustment
• LED status indicators for warming, ready, and fault conditions
• RS232 interface for computer control and on-screen monitoring
• simple plug-and-play operation once the unit reaches operating temperature
• DayStar Quantum Hydrogen Alpha SE Grade filter unit
• 100–240 V AC power supply with US, EU, UK and AU adapters
