Askar FRA is a series of telescopes designed for astrophotography, characterized by the highest optical and mechanical quality.

The FRA400C 400/5.6 ED APO is a high-class astrograph that is the successor to the FRA400 model. This tube uses a five-element optical system with two lenses made of glass with reduced dispersion (ED), which guarantees excellent correction of chromatic aberrations, and thus allows for obtaining images with perfectly reproduced colors. Unlike its predecessor, the Askar FRA400C 400/5.6 ED APO optical tube uses a precise helical focuser, improving the comfort of using the telescope, especially in visual observations, as well as a lens for classic daytime photography.

Askar FRA400C 400/5.6 ED APO, thanks to the use of a seventeen-blade diaphragm, allows for adjustment of the aperture in the range from f/5.6 to f/22. Similarly to the FRA400 version, the 400C model is characterized by a circle of full illumination diameter of 44 mm, which guarantees full coverage of full-frame matrices.
