Celestron Smart DewHeater 4X Heater and Power Controller extends battery life by optimizing power usage for up to four heaters. The controller collects and analyzes real-time information to heat the optics just enough to prevent dew.
The Smart DewHeater has four ports to control four heaters at once, such as the telescope's main heater, finder, eyepiece for visual observation, or guiding scope. The controller is also a complete solution for managing the telescope's power supply. It offers four 12V DC output ports to power various devices, such as a mount, electronic focuser, or camera. One of the ports has a variable voltage that can be adjusted from 3V to 12V. Additionally, the controller has three powered USB A ports.
The Smart DewHeater works seamlessly with Celestron Dew Heaters, which have a built-in thermistor to provide a temperature reading. Other manufacturers' heaters are also compatible; simply purchase a Celestron thermistor. • Using real-time data, the controller delivers just enough heat to prevent dew from forming, reducing energy consumption
