Artesky ERF 130 mm (SKU: ERF-130 ) is an Energy Rejection Filter, which is designed to reflect as much solar energy as possible before the light enters the telescope. This allows safe and effective use of H-alpha filters without the risk of overheating the standard and compromising image quality.

The ERF filter mounted at the front of the telescope reduces the heating of the tube interior and prevents thermal turbulence. The dielectric coatings of the Artesky filters reflect all unwanted radiation in the range of 200–1100 nm, transmitting only a 60 nm bandwidth around the H-alpha wavelength (656.28 nm).

The filter is based on excellent quality optical glass, polished to λ/4 accuracy and with surfaces finished in class 60-40. The coatings are applied using the most modern methods of vacuum sputtering, which ensures a lack of stress and ideal surface flatness. Thanks to this, the filter does not negatively affect the image quality.

Note: The filter cannot be used alone - it must work with a dedicated H-alpha filter (e.g. Daystar). Otherwise there is a risk of permanent eye damage. The surface with the coating should face the Sun (the arrow on the edge indicates the correct direction). The product is sold without a cell .
