High quality field corrector and focal reducer for Celestron and Meade Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes

Simple adaptation: The reducer is screwed directly into the 2" SC thread of SC telescopes.

The focal length is multiplied by a factor of 0.63 - so exposure times are shortened by a factor of 2.5!

The curved image area of SCTs is flattened and then corrected, resulting in sharper stars across the entire frame.

The Artesky focal reducer can be used excellently photographically and visually.

The corrected image area has a diameter of 24 mm.

Long working distance of 85mm from the SC thread on the camera side - enough space for all adapters or off-axis guiding

This high quality corrector was developed especially for SC telescopes. With this 4 element system, you can create a fast telescope for astrophotography with your SCT.

Features and applications of the ARTESKY f/6.3 SC corrector

• The corrector fits all Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes from Celestron and Meade. It simply screws into the 2" thread on the back of the telescope.

• On the eyepiece side, the f/6.3 corrector also has the SC thread. You can use your accessories as before.

• The optimum working distance from the SC thread of the corrector is 85 mm. This distance can be exceeded or reduced by 15% without appreciable loss of quality.

• The focal length of SC telescopes is reduced by a factor of 0.63 - 2000 mm becomes 1260 mm focal length. The speed is significantly increased. You get the same saturation with only 40% of the exposure time, compared to photography without a corrector.

• The optical correction system flattens the curved field of the Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope, providing a fully corrected image area of 24 mm diameter.

• The corrector also offers a visual improvement, the sharpness at the edges is enhanced and the rendering of the real field of view is evident. It is recommended to use the corrector with 1.25" eyepieces.

Astrophotography with off-axis guiding:

Due to the long focal length and large aperture of SC telescopes, off-axis guider is recommended.

With this, the imaging telescope becomes a guide telescope at the same time.

Many amateur astronomers use a separate focuser in their SC telescope for more precise focusing and to avoid mirror shift.
