The Celestron Smart DewHeater 2X Heater Controller extends battery life by optimizing power usage for up to two heaters. The controller collects and analyzes real-time information to heat the optics just enough to prevent dew.
The Smart DewHeater has two ports to control two heaters at the same time, for example the main telescope heater and an additional heater for the finder, visual eyepiece or guiding scope. The controller also has a 12V DC power port through which you can power, for example the mount.
The Smart DewHeater works seamlessly with Celestron Dew Heaters, which have a built-in thermistor to provide a temperature reading. Other manufacturers' heaters are also compatible; simply purchase a Celestron thermistor. • Using real-time data, the controller delivers just enough heat to prevent dew from forming, reducing energy consumption
