The Celestron windshield is an indispensable accessory that protects the optical tube against the deposition of dew on the corrector lens. The diffuser blocks stray light from entering the telescope, which provides better contrast for visual observations and astrophotography. The mouthguard can be used with 9.25 "and 11" Schmidt-Cassegrain, Edge HD and RASA optical tubes (single dovetail or single dovetail).
The cover is made of a durable plastic that is strong and flexible at the same time. There is an additional lining on the edge of the tube mounting to ensure a better fit to the tube. The felt-lined interior of the link absorbs scattered light and excess moisture, creating a better contrast during observation and when taking pictures.
