Kowa BDII-XD is a series of binoculars that, thanks to the highest quality of workmanship, low-dispersion optics and a wide field of view, sets a new gold standard in its price class.
The lenses of the Kowa BDII42-10XD (10x42) binoculars are made of the highest quality, low-dispersion XD glass, which has properties similar to fluorite crystal, which is one of the most perfect optical materials. In order to improve contrast and minimize reflections, all lenses are fully multi-coated. Moreover, to protect against damage and dirt, the outer glass surfaces are covered with a hydro and lipophobic layer of Kowa Repelling (RP)™.
This instrument is equipped with roof prisms (Schmidt - Pechan) with a phase coating and a Kowa C 3 ™ reflective layer, ensuring a bright image and faithful color reproduction.
The whole thing is enclosed in a nitrogen-filled and sealed housing, made of magnesium and covered with a layer of rubber that improves grip.
