The Meade DSI-IV Deep Sky Imager 16 MP Color camera is a very versatile device that will be perfect both for an experienced user and for the beginning of an adventure with a fascinating hobby - astrophotography. As this camcorder uses a color variant of the Panasonic MN34230 image sensor, it is referred to as a one-shot color instrument. This means that a color image is created directly on the matrix during a single exposure without the need to use dedicated filters. The advantage of this solution is a significant reduction in the time needed to collect the raw signal, as well as the simplification of the post-production process and final processing of photos.
This camera was designed based on the Panasonic MN34230PLJ sensor, made in CMOS technology, which, together with an efficient cooling system, provides a very low noise level of 1.2 e for 30 db gain. The 12-bit ADC converter works with the light-sensitive element, thanks to which the image obtained is clear and extremely dynamic.
The device is equipped with a USB 3.0 port for data transmission and two USB 2.0 ports, which can be a power source for a filter wheel or a microfocuser.
