The Celestron PowerSeeker series of telescopes has been designed to give the beginner astronomy enthusiast the perfect combination of quality, capabilities and price. Celestron Powerseeker telescopes, offering exceptional price, mobility and extensive equipment, are the perfect introduction to the world of amateur astronomy. Unique appearance, affordable price and significant possibilities are the main advantages of this series. Telescopes in this series provide bright and contrasting images of the Moon and planets.
PowerSeeker 80EQ is a lens telescope that collects over 130 times more light than the human eye. It is mounted on an equatorial assembly with micro-movements, allowing you to conveniently follow the rotation of celestial bodies. The 80 mm lens is already a significant observational instrument: it allows observations of the Sun (special filter required), the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and its moons, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Within the scope of the telescope there are brighter comets, asteroids and outside the Planetary System: many galaxies, nebulae, globular and open clusters, double and multiple stars. Due to its reasonable weight, the telescope is ideal as a portable device that can be taken by car to areas with better air transparency, away from large cities.
| • Optical system: | refractor (lens telescope) | | • Mirror diameter: | 80mm | | • Lens focal length: | 900mm | | • Light power: | 1/11 | | • Extract: | 1.25" | | • Image orientation: | earthly, not inverted up-down | | • Range of useful magnifications (min / max): | 11x / 189x | | • Limit range: | 12th magnitude | | • Optical layers: | FC | | • Length of the optical tube: | 965mm | | • Lens deflector diameter: | 97 mm (inner) / 100.5 mm (outer) | | • Libra: | 8.6kg | | • Factory packaging dimensions: | 97 x 32 x 25 cm | | • Gross weight (in factory packaging): | 10.9 kg |
The set includes the following accessories: • eyepiece 1: 20 mm (45x magnification) • eyepiece 3: 4 mm (magnification: 225x) • Barlow lens: 3x • finder: 5x24 • 1.25" / 90° angle socket • assembly: equatorial with micro-movements • tripod: aluminum • software: "The SkyX" Planetarium Software (in English) 3-year manufacturer's warranty for mechanics, 2-year warranty for electronic systems

This device focuses a large amount of light. Looking directly at the Sun through this device may result in partial or complete loss of vision. To observe the Sun, we recommend the safest method of eyepiece projection, i.e. projecting the image of the disk of our day star onto a piece of paper.
