Photos from description

Antlia M48 Adapter with Quad Band Anti-Light Pollution Filter for Canon EF/EF-S cameras (Antlia, SKU: M48-QUAD-EF/EF-S) connects a camera with a Canon EF or EF-S mount to an M48 × 0.75 interface, allowing it to be attached to a suitably terminated astrophotography imaging train. The integrated Quad Band filter suppresses selected artificial-lighting bands while transmitting useful visible, near-ultraviolet and near-infrared ranges. The manufacturer specifies a back focus of 55 mm.

Key features

• combination of a Canon EF/EF-S camera adapter and light-pollution filter in one component
• M48 × 0.75 interface designed for use with a suitably terminated astrophotography imaging train
• back focus of 55 mm
• multi-band transmission characteristics covering visible light, near-ultraviolet and near-infrared
• high transmission of the Hα, SII, OIII, H-beta and NII emission lines
• suppression of selected artificial-lighting components, including part of the radiation from sodium lamps and LED sources
• suitable for imaging galaxies, emission and reflection nebulae, and star clusters
• broad transmission bands designed for use with optical systems as fast as f/2
• filter characteristics suitable for use with colour and monochrome sensors
• near-infrared transmission best utilised by cameras without a UV/IR-cut filter

Set contents

• Antlia M48 adapter for Canon EF/EF-S cameras with integrated Quad Band Anti-Light Pollution Filter
