Photos from description

The Sky-Watcher Synta Dobsonian 12" is a powerful telescope for the advanced skywatcher - an excellent tool for visual observations of Solar System objects and the deep sky. The telescope with a primary mirror diameter of 305 mm (12 inches) is the target equipment of most amateur astronomers, combining enormous observing capabilities with still acceptable portability.

This telescope is ideal for observing nebulae, open clusters, globular clusters, and a number of beautiful galaxies. It's important to remember that all the planets in the Solar System, with their exquisite surface detail, and many of their moons are also within the telescope's range.

The telescope also performs excellently for observing our natural satellite, although due to the amount of light entering near the full moon, it's worth using a lunar filter, preferably a dark green neutral gray ( neutral density ) one. The large mirror, just over 30 centimeters in diameter, collects almost 2,000 times more light than the human eye, and the resolution of 0.55 arc seconds is truly phenomenal.

The mirror is made of Pyrex glass, a borosilicate glass composed of 8% boron oxide and 85% silicon oxide. The boron oxide addition makes the mirror slightly lighter and, most importantly, lowers its thermal expansion coefficient, which positively impacts the quality of the images obtained.

Of course, while the mirror size is the key parameter, the telescope is well-designed mechanically and optically. It features a 1500mm focal length, providing a massive f/4.9 aperture, an excellent 2-inch Crayford focuser with a 1.25" reduction, a large 9x50 finder scope, two 25mm and 10mm Ploessl eyepieces, and an intuitively simple altazimuth Dobsonian mount. The focuser has a T-2 thread for attaching a SLR camera, allowing you to photograph bright objects (requires the appropriate reduction for your camera, such as a Canon, Nikon, Sony Alpha, Pentax, or Olympus).

The Dobsonian mount is the simplest and cheapest type of telescope mount, and is very effective for visual observations. The mount is controlled by manually moving it in two axes: the azimuth (horizontal) plane and the elevation (vertical) axis.

The telescope consists of an optical tube measuring 147x35 cm and weighing 22.5 kg, and an altazimuth mount weighing 16.5 kg. The telescope is originally packaged in three boxes, with the Dobsonian mount, optical tube, and mirror with mount separately. After assembly, the optical system should be collimated before observing (collimation instructions in Polish are included).
The telescope was manufactured by the renowned Synta factory, a manufacturer of brands such as Celestron, SkyWatcher, Omegon, Orion, Spinor Optics, Pentaflex, and others.

THE OFFERED TELESCOPE ALLOWS YOU TO START OBSERVATIONS ON THE FIRST CLEAR NIGHT - IT INCLUDES ALL THE NECESSARY ACCESSORIES, INCLUDING EYEPIECES AND A DOBSONIC MOUNT

Photos taken with this telescope (Author: MSn)

Author's comment on the photos:

"I'm sending photos from the all-night observations we made on the beautiful night of September 6/7, 2013. I just finished processing the last photo yesterday.

In the morning we were already looking at the winter facilities.

Since we were focused on observation, I only took photos during "breaks", but I'm still shocked by what this tube can do :)"

Teleskopy.pl would like to thank the author for sending us further, wonderful materials. The photos were taken with the telescope after mounting it on the Upgrade Kit for a 12" mount.
