The Oberwerk 12×50 ED Ultra belongs to the prestigious Ultra Series, designed to provide optical performance comparable to – and often exceeding – the finest Japanese binoculars, but at a significantly more accessible price. The ED FK-61 low-dispersion objectives virtually eliminate chromatic aberration, delivering crisp, high-contrast, high-resolution images.
A very wide 70° apparent field of view (AFOV), combined with integrated field flatteners, ensures sharpness across the entire field. The real field of view of 5.8° makes this binocular ideal for wide-field astronomy, panoramic viewing and nature observation. The generous 15–18 mm eye relief provides full-field comfort even for eyeglass wearers.
The lightweight magnesium alloy body is waterproof and nitrogen-purged, preventing internal fogging. Each eyepiece features individual focusing (IF) for maximum precision. All air-to-glass surfaces are fully broadband multi-coated to maximize light transmission and contrast.
