The Sky-Watcher HELIOSTAR-100Ha is a solar telescope for observing in the H-alpha band, allowing to see prominences and other features of the solar surface in exceptional detail. The device offers a throughput below 0.5Å, comparable to Double Stack systems, but without the need for an additional standard.
The set includes: a UV and IR blocking filter, a filter system eliminating stray light and a built-in solar finder. The optical system operates based on Sky-Watcher Trifid Tuner and Solis Etalon technologies, and the adjustment is performed by pressure tuning. HELIOSTAR-100Ha meets the ISO 12312-2:2015 standard for filters for solar observation.
