The halogen lighting power supply, in conjunction with an optional flexible fiber optic cable, ensures optimum illumination of the specimen with reflected light without increasing the temperature of the preparation. Such a lighting system is necessary for preparations sensitive to high temperatures. At the same time, the halogen light allows full color identification, since as a thermal source it contains the full spectrum of visible light (in contrast to LED lights)
