Focus Optimum 30-60x85 APO ED is the flagship angular telescope in the Focus Nordic range with high magnification, designed for birdwatching enthusiasts, observing aircraft at cruising altitudes (RNAV spotting) and for all other applications in which objects are located above the observer.
The optics of this telescope are made of the highest quality glass, including low-dispersion (ED) lenses and a lens made of fluorite glass, used only in the best optical devices dedicated to the most demanding applications. The use of such highly advanced materials allowed to almost completely eliminate the undesirable phenomenon of chromatic aberration, as well as obtain the highest level of contrast and detail of the image. Additionally, all optical surfaces are covered with a full multilayer coating (FMC).
The whole thing is closed in a waterproof case filled with dry nitrogen, which effectively prevents fogging of the lenses during sudden changes in temperature (for example, after leaving a warm car or room outside). From the outside, the body is covered with a layer of rubber, which is an additional mechanical reinforcement and improves the grip of the telescope.
