The Optolong L-Pro (L-Professional) 1.25" filter is a multiband filter designed for visual observations and astrophotography of deep-sky objects in light-polluted conditions. Its optical design allows for selective suppression of wavelengths emitted by artificial light sources - including mercury vapor, low- and high-pressure sodium lamps, and natural sky glow - while maintaining high transmission in the important emission bands.
The filter transmits OIII (496 and 500 nm), H-beta (486 nm), NII (654 and 658 nm), H-alpha (656 nm) and SII (672 nm) lines with high efficiency, which translates into improved contrast and image detail. Thanks to its multiband transmission characteristics, it offers a much better color balance than classic UHC or CLS filters - which is especially important when photographing galaxies, clusters and reflection nebulae, where maintaining natural colors is crucial.
Optolong L-Pro 1.25" is suitable for observing and photographing wide-angle objects such as the Milky Way, delivering natural-looking images with significantly reduced influence of light pollution.
