Gray filter produced by the Baader Planetarium company with a transmission of 13% and a diameter of ø = 2 ". Designed for advanced and demanding users. Made with high accuracy and as the only gray filter in our offer covered with anti-reflection coatings. The Phantom Group does not show any reflections when observing bright objects. The optical density of the filter is OD = 0.9, which means a transmission level of 13%. Equipped with a standard 2 "filter thread on both sides. The height of the filter cell is 8.2 mm (0.33 "). The active aperture of the filter is 45.8 mm (1.8").
Spectrally neutral gray filters allow you to weaken the light coming from very bright objects such as the Sun (CAUTION: in combination with the sun filter ND5), the Moon, planets or bright stars. By reducing the glare of objects visible in the eyepiece, you can better distinguish visible details. The filter is suitable for lunar and planetary observations as well as for the separation of bright and close binary star systems. The 13% filter is best suited for observing the full moon and outer planets at the exit pupil of the telescope from 1 to 2 mm. • type: broadband, neutral density • binding: 2 " • transmission: 13% • substrate: glass • layers: MC • weight: 66 g 24 months
