The compact size of the flashlight (79 mm) allows you to conveniently carry the flashlight in your pocket or attach it in the form of a key ring. The knurled aluminum surface improves the grip and prevents the flashlight from slipping out of the hand. The light source is the efficient SST20 LED diode, which in burst mode emits a stream of 600 lumens with a brightness of 3970 candelas and a range of up to 124 m. The light is evenly and widely diffused thanks to the use of an ultra-thin collimating lens.

The most useful modes in everyday use are the burst mode (full power of 600 lumens) for short but intense illumination and the moonlight mode. The delicate glow of 3 lumens is enough for reading, spotlighting a purse, toolbox or opening the lock on a door.
The flashlight uses an intelligent memory function which, when the flashlight is turned on again, automatically selects the last mode used before turning it off. The flashlight is powered by a lithium-polymer battery with a capacity of 800 mAh, which is charged via a hidden USB-C port. Access to the charging socket is obtained only after opening the body of the flashlight, thanks to which the port is properly protected against dirt and moisture. Unlike other flashlights with a USB port, the Fenix E09R can shine even while charging. The flashlight is activated and the modes are changed with the use of a metal switch on the side wall.
