The Holosun HE512C-GD Gold Dot is a closed reflex sight that allows you to choose from three aiming points – a dot (2 MOA), a circle (65 MOA), or a combination of both (2/65 MOA). The aiming point has a unique gold color, ensuring high visibility in various lighting conditions. The collimator is powered by a CR2032 battery with a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours. The device is also equipped with a Solar Failsafe solar panel, which can power the sight independently in bright light and, in less favorable conditions, assist the battery, significantly extending its lifespan. The solar panel also functions as a light sensor, automatically adjusting the brightness of the aiming point to the surroundings. The user has 10 brightness levels for daytime use and two dedicated levels for use with night vision devices. Additionally, the Shake Awake function saves energy – the collimator enters sleep mode after a period of inactivity and instantly wakes up upon detecting motion. The sight's housing is CNC machined from T6061-T6 aluminum and meets the IP67 sealing standard, making it dust, water, and shock-resistant. The QD mount allows for quick attachment and removal to Picatinny/Weaver rails. Note: In closed collimators, where the emitter is positioned at the 4 o'clock position, the lens is intentionally tilted.
