Swampfox Optics Kraken Red 1x16 3 MOA enclosed reflex sight is a durable optic with its emitter positioned between protective front and rear lenses. The enclosed system limits the exposure of the emitter to water, mud, dust and other debris, improving sight reliability when used in demanding conditions.
The 3 MOA red dot creates a precise yet easily visible aiming point. The user can select from 10 manual brightness levels: eight intended for daylight use and two compatible with night-vision devices. Brightness is adjusted using digital buttons located on the housing.
The Shake ’N Wake system automatically switches off illumination after approximately 225 seconds of inactivity and restores the previously selected brightness level when motion is detected. Power is supplied by a CR2032 battery housed in a side compartment, allowing it to be replaced without removing the sight. The manufacturer specifies approximately two years of practical operating time with Shake ’N Wake.
The double-walled 7075 aircraft-grade aluminium housing withstands impact forces of up to 1,500 G and meets the requirements of the IPX7 waterproof rating. The sight uses a proprietary mounting interface with side-mounted clamping screws, while the included plates allow installation on compatible RMR and MOS bases.
