A development version of the unique Vortex Defender red dot sight, this time intended for service pistols. It is therefore larger, slightly more massive, but most importantly, still extremely durable and perfectly suited to the tactical nature of the weapon. The lens has been proportionally enlarged to provide a wider field of view and the possibility of wider zero adjustment. Combined with the classic 3 MOA dot, it will be perfect for tactical shooting and dynamic shooting. The 6 MOA version will be an ideal choice as a complement to a service pistol or a model that we use privately for personal protection. • 12-step dot brightness adjustment (10 + 2 NV) The sight body is made of 7075 aircraft aluminum using precision milling. Thanks to this, the device has a light and durable structure weighing only 41 g. The aluminum body is finished with a hard anodizing technique, which ensures high abrasion resistance. and scratches. The collimator base is made in the popular Shield RMS/RMSc standard, which eliminates the need to purchase an additional mounting plate or modify the weapon by a gunsmith.
The front of the sight has aggressive Fast-Rack grooves, thanks to which the gun can also be safely reloaded using the collimator. The sight has a waterproof and dustproof housing, supported by a polymer Shockshield insert, which effectively absorbs shock and recoil of the weapon. The narrow profile of the sight makes drawing the gun from under clothes smooth and at the same time allows us to carry the weapon inconspicuously. The collimator has a simple and friendly interface operated by large buttons located on both sides of the housing. Vortex Defender-CCW has a high-quality lens covered with multi-layer anti-reflective coatings, which ensure high light transmission and a clear and sharp image without parallax error. The viewfinder is distinguished not only by one of the largest lenses in its class, but also by an aspherical optic profile. This ensures crystal sharp image not only in the center, but also on the periphery. As a result, we obtain a clear image of the target and can shoot comfortably even in low light conditions. The aiming mark is a red dot with a size of 3 or 6 MOA (depending on the model) with a click value of 1 MOA, adjustable in the range of 115/145 MOA (horizontal/vertical). The Armortek hard coating protects the lens from scratches and other external factors.
The control system and the diode are resistant to weapon recoil and weather conditions, thanks to which the sight works stably and efficiently, even in difficult field conditions. The collimator is powered by a CR2032 battery, which, according to the manufacturer, provides up to 25,000 hours of operation at a brightness level of 6. Similarly to the Venom model, the battery port is located in the upper part of the device, enabling easy and convenient replacement of the power source, without the need to dismantle the sight from the weapon. The user has 8 daytime settings and 2 settings compatible with night vision at his disposal. The extended operating time of the sight is due to the use of a motion sensor, which, after 14 hours of inactivity, automatically turns off the LED and switches the sight to sleep mode. To turn the collimator back on, simply raise the weapon.
