The Primary Arms by Holosun HE509-RD Solar Powered w/MOS mounting plate ACSS Vulcan (SKU: HE509-RD-ACSS-M) is a compact, enclosed pistol sight designed for sporting and combat applications. It features a Solar Failsafe solar panel, Shake Awake power saving system, Lock Mode, and the innovative ACSS Vulcan reticle. The body is made of a lightweight yet durable titanium alloy using precision milling. The sight features rubberized buttons arranged horizontally for ease of use, and the Lock Mode lock prevents accidental setting changes. A side-sliding tray allows for quick battery replacement without disassembling the device. A MOS-standard steel plate is used for mounting. The closed design increases resistance to dirt and mechanical damage. The lenses are multi-layered with anti-reflective coatings, ensuring high light transmission and a parallax-free image. The objective lens diameter is 23 mm, allowing for comfortable and rapid target acquisition. Instead of a traditional dot, the ACSS Vulcan utilizes a chevron (inverted V) designation, allowing for quick target acquisition and precise fire at longer ranges. An additional large circle (which can be disabled) supports quick alignment of the chevron with the target's center. If the user loses the aiming point, the circle outline visible at the edges of the glass makes it easy to adjust the alignment and return to the target. The sight is powered by a CR1632 battery, which provides up to 50,000 hours of operation at medium brightness settings. A Solar Failsafe solar panel supports the battery, automatically adjusts the reticle intensity, and in appropriate lighting conditions can replace the battery. Users can choose from 10 daytime brightness levels and two night vision settings. The Shake Awake system puts the sight into sleep mode after a period of inactivity (configurable) and automatically wakes the device upon motion detection. A memory function remembers the last selected brightness setting and reticle mode. A flashing symbol indicates low battery.
