Observation thermal imager with a resolution of 384 x 288 pixels and a lens with a focal length of 38 mm . Helion XQ38 can detect large objects at a distance of 1,350 meters . The basic magnification is 3.1x, using the digital zoom you can additionally get the magnification of 6.2x and 12.4x . The device is based on a new hardware platform, common for Helion thermal imagers and Trail sights. Innovative electronics allow to process the image in a more efficient way, with lower noise than in the equipment produced so far, all Helions are equipped with an image recorder.

Helion series thermal imaging devices are designed for observing the terrain over long distances. Particular models differ mainly in the lenses and the type of microbolometer used, which results in different image resolutions and range differences. The best models from the Helion series allow to detect a man at a distance of almost two kilometers and work with a resolution of 640x480 pixels. A characteristic element in Helion thermal imaging devices is a dedicated 5.2 Ah battery mounted on the side of the housing. These batteries are easily replaceable, it is possible to purchase additional batteries (including batteries with twice the capacity), which in practice solves problems with power supply in the field. The second characteristic element is the heat sink that dissipates heat from the electronic circuits, which significantly reduces the noise of the observed image.

All Helions have extensive image processing options. It is possible to precisely adjust the brightness and contrast as well as use one of the seven color palettes. In the XQ versions, the digital zoom is available, which can be switched in the following cycle: 1x, 2x, 4x, as well as smoothly in 0.1x increments. The image can be calibrated manually as well as thanks to an automatic algorithm that analyzes the image. In addition, you can choose from three predefined modes that group the best settings for different work environments.

Helion thermal imagers are equipped with several technological innovations. These devices have an easy-to-use image recorder that allows you to take pictures and record movies . The files are stored in the internal memory of the device with a capacity of 8 Gb. The Imager has a USB port that enables the transfer of recorded files from the internal memory to a computer. What is more, this socket can be used to supply power using standard 5V power banks. Fans of new technologies will be pleasantly surprised by the possibility of viewing the image on mobile devices using the StreamVision application. The image and control commands are transmitted thanks to the WiFi network created by the thermal imager. By connecting to the thermal imager via WiFi, we can gain access not only to the observed image, but also to the functions controlling the device.

A stadiametric rangefinding ( comparative) is used to measure distances, which measures the distance to targets of known size. All Helion series thermal imagers are relatively small, solidly built and adapted to work in difficult weather conditions. They are watertight structures, operating in temperatures from -25 to +50 degrees .

The most important characteristics:

  • Modern microbolometers

Helion thermal imaging devices are equipped with modern high-resolution 640x480 transducers in XP versions and refined, perfectly designed 384x288 transducers in XQ versions.

  • Digital zoom up to 4x

Pulsar Helion XQ38F offers a 2-4x digital zoom , thanks to which we have a magnification from 3.1x to 12.4x.

  • Water resistance

The device is IPX7 waterproof , which means that it is completely waterproof (immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes)

  • Simple operation

Intuitive operation combined with modern technology gives us an effective, but also comfortable to use thermovision monocular.

  • Built-in video / photo recorder with 8 GB memory

The thermal imager has a built-in 8 GB photo and video recorder . The microUSB socket allows you to transfer the recordings from the night vision device to the computer.

  • Built-in Wi-Fi module

Helion thermal imaging devices can communicate with external mobile devices, on which, using the free , dedicated StreamVision application, you can view the image, control night vision functions, and even carry out live transmission using YouTube.

  • Powered by dedicated batteries of the B-Pack system

Pulsar offers a wide range of batteries for the Helion series: IPS5, IPS7, IPS10, IPS14.

  • Display OFF

The "display OFF" function instantly turns on / off the display without turning off the device, which saves battery energy and makes it easier to remain unnoticed in the dark.

  • Frostproof AMOLED display with a resolution of 640x480 pixels

The high-resolution display (640x480 pixels) combined with high resistance to extreme temperatures ensures that the device will not disappoint us even in the most difficult conditions.

  • Extreme range

The use of high-quality germanium optics ensures the detection range (depending on the version) up to 1800m (XP / XQ 50)

  • Picture in Picture mode

Picture in Picture mode allows you to enlarge the central part of the picture in a specially displayed window. The additional window only takes up 10% of the total display area.

  • Color palettes

Various color palettes of the image are available - the user has at their disposal as many as 8 versions.

  • Wide temperature range

Helion thermal imaging devices can be used at any time of the year - the device operates in the range from -25 to +50 degrees Celsius.

  • Stadiametric rangefinder

Thanks to the stadiometric rangefinder, we can easily determine the distance to a target of a known size.

  • High refresh rate

Even when observing moving objects, the image is smooth and the observation is comfortable thanks to the refresh rate of 50 Hz.

>> FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS <<

Question : What is the difference between a night vision device and a thermal imager?

Answer: The night vision device enhances the visible light (380 - 780 nm) and the light that is slightly near infrared. The thermal imager is sensitive to electromagnetic waves of a greater length, of the order of a few - several µm, that is several dozen times greater in length. The EM waves, which a typical thermal imager is sensitive to, correspond to thermal (thermal) radiation. The night vision requires light that can amplify (that's why in full darkness we need IR emitters), the thermal vision device also works in complete darkness, in fog, smoke, etc. The advantage of night vision, apart from simply different imaging and in connection with with this different perception of detail, there is higher resolution and lower price. The advantage of thermovision is work in all conditions and easy detection of heat sources, which is of fundamental importance in rescue, and is useful, among others. Hunting, property protection, sea navigation, nature observation.
