Pocket Powerbox Micro (PegasusAstro, SKU: PEG-PPBMICRO) is a compact power distribution controller designed for portable “grab and go” astrophotography setups. The device provides four 12 V power outputs, two PWM dew heater channels, an adjustable voltage output, and an integrated temperature and humidity sensor for dew point monitoring.
The total available current is up to 10 A. All four 12 V outputs are switched ON/OFF together via software. An additional adjustable output can supply 3 V, 5 V, 7 V, 8 V, 9 V, or 12 V and is suitable for powering DSLR / mirrorless cameras or devices such as Raspberry Pi.
Pocket Powerbox Micro features two independent PWM dew heater channels with RCA connectors. The Auto-Dew function automatically adjusts heater power based on humidity, temperature, and calculated dew point. Built-in voltage and current meters allow real-time monitoring of both total and channel-specific power consumption.
The device can operate either connected to a PC via USB or in standalone mode. Once configured, settings are automatically restored after power-up without requiring a computer connection. Reverse polarity and overvoltage protection are included, along with a hardware watchdog that resets the device if the controller becomes unresponsive.
The compact enclosure is CNC-machined from aluminum and features very low weight. Pocket Powerbox Micro supports ASCOM 6 and INDI and is fully integrated with the Pegasus Astro Unity Platform. An EXT (RJ12) expansion port is available for connecting compatible Pegasus Astro accessories, including an external motor controller.
