The Asterion Push-to kit encoder set, adapted for cooperation with Sky-Watcher Dobson telescopes, was designed to facilitate and accelerate the search for interesting astronomical objects.
Finding a given object by means of a Dobsonian telescope (azimuthal, AZ) without the GoTo system often turns out to be problematic even for advanced users of this type of instruments. The use of Asterion Push-to kit encoders allows for precise reading of the orientation of the optical tube by dedicated software. Thanks to this, the user, following the directions displayed on the screen of a laptop or smartphone, can very quickly set his telescope in such a way that a given object is within his field of view.
Attention! The encoder set does not have motors. The observer has to direct the optical tube to a given area of the sky by himself, based on the indications displayed by the software.
