SynScan EQ5 GoTo upgrade kit is a complete kit that allows you to convert the traditional SkyWatcher EQ5 parallactic mount to the Pro version, which is perfect for both visual observations and when carrying an astrophotography kit.
The declination and right ascension axes are driven by stepper motors with 1:32 microsteps. The torque is transferred to the axles through durable gears. Due to the fact that all the necessary accessories are included in the set, their assembly is trouble-free and very intuitive.
The operation of the entire set is controlled by the SynScan controller, whose software is responsible, among others, for controlling the periodic error and reducing the backlash effect. Most importantly, the database of this device contains information about the location of planets, stars, galaxies and other objects from the Messier, NGC and IC catalogs.
