The SynScan EQ3 GoTo upgrade kit is a complete set enabling the conversion of the traditional Sky-Watcher EQ3-2 equatorial mount to the Pro version, which is perfect for both visual observations and astrophotography setups.

The declination and right ascension axes are driven by stepper motors. Torque is transferred to the axes via durable gears. All necessary accessories are included in the kit, making installation hassle-free and highly intuitive.

The entire set is controlled by the SynScan controller, whose software is responsible for, among other things, periodic error control and backlash reduction, and has a huge database of astronomical objects.

Please note: Only the cigarette lighter plug power adapter is included. A suitable AC adapter must be purchased separately.

Question : Does the system also track automatically or just guide?

Answer: It hones and tracks, tracks and hones. You don't need to use GOTO (search, homing); you can just track. When you use GOTO, once an object is found, the system immediately follows it, keeping it in your field of view for minutes and hours.

Answer: The kit does not include a power supply. A smartphone that supports Wi-Fi communication is required for control.
