The new version of the extremely popular ZWO EFW 7x36 filter wheel allows the use of seven frameless filters with a diameter of 36 mm. In practice, this allows a set of LRGB, Hα, S-II and O-III filters to be mounted on the carousel at the same time. The model prepared for 2021 differs from its predecessor in an enlarged housing, as well as additional mounting holes, enabling the connection of the off-axis guider M68 OAG.

The filter wheel is controlled by software compatible with the ASCOM driver. The wheel can be connected to a computer via a USB 2.0 cable, as well as to the USB outputs on the camera.

The black-finished casing was made using CNC technology from the highest quality aviation aluminum alloy. It houses the filter wheel drive, the heart of which is a stepper motor from the renowned Japanese company NPM.
