The Flattener 1.0x for the Askar 160 APO telescope is a high-performance field corrector that provides improved image flatness and star sharpness throughout the entire field of view. It is optimized specifically for use with the Askar 160 APO telescope. Flattener does not change the focal length or aperture ratio of the telescope – after its use, the focal length remains at 1120 mm, and the aperture ratio is f/7. Field curvature and coma correction allows for obtaining even and point stars right up to the edges of the frame, which significantly improves the quality of astrophotography images. The optical design is based on a triplet, and the image circle covers the full frame (44 mm). The rear working distance (back focus) from the M48 thread is a standard 55 mm. The flattener is equipped with an M92×1 thread on the telescope side and interchangeable M68×1, M54×0.75 and M48×0.75 connectors on the camera side. Additionally, a 2" M48×0.75 filter thread has been integrated. The whole thing has been precisely made using CNC technology, and metal caps on both sides protect the optics from dust. • focal length after use: 1120 mm • light intensity after application: f/7 • optical design: triplet • image circle: 44 mm (full frame) • back focus: 55 mm (from the base of the M48 thread) • weight: 0.56 kg • front thread (for telescope): M92×1 • rear threads (for camera): M68×1, M54×0.75, M48×0.75 • integrated filter thread: 2" M48×0.75 • precise CNC machining, protective caps included
